Water & Flood Remediation

JHCA is certified with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration Certificate (IICRC). We are experienced and fully insured to safely and properly remove and remediate a flood in your home or office.

Steps to Remediation

Whether a flood in your home was caused by a structural compromise in the plumbing system, frozen or broken pipes or by fire suppression – JHCA is at the helm, ready to respond and take control of the situation. Timing is of essence in water loss situations.

Responding quickly, fully removing the water and drying out the structure 100% is the number one concern in preventing further damage; i.e. antimicrobial growth or further issues down the road.

1Stopping the flow of water
JHCA knows the importance of a fast response if you’ve had a problem with a flood in your home or business. You can trust that we’ll quickly get to work determining the source and stopping the flow to minimize the damage to your property. The sooner your home can be returned to its pre-flood condition the less disruption to your life.
2Removal of water & any damaged structural elements
During the water removal process we use various techniques such as mop and wet vacuum to pumping, depending on the severity of the situation, to extract the water and introduce dry, warm air into dry, warm air into porous materials, structural cavities and stratified materials where water can stay hidden.
3Dry out of all structural elements
The Dry Out stage is tantamount to successful remediation. If all aspects of the structure are not fully dry, remediation will not be successful. You might find yourself with mold issues down the road. With the use of fans and dehumidifiers, dry out is simple. It is the amount of time allowed for drying that is important. JHCA will ensure all structural elements are dry and will verify and confirm so with moisture testing. Most structures should be dry in five to seven days of drying
4Reconstruction
With over twenty years of building experience and structural knowledge, JHCA is able to continue the full remediation process through reconstruction. JHCA is fully licensed as a Residential Contractor through the Town of Jackson. We will rebuild or remodel (if desired) and leave your home or business in better condition than before the loss.
